OETC looks for three things when evaluating a new product.
1Proven Educational Need
OETC only focuses on technology and only technology that supports education. OETC is focused on finding technology that improves student achievement or makes schools easier to administer and manage.
2Best of Class Products
There are a lot of choices in any given class. OETC does not strive to provide every product available, but instead the best products.
3Lowest Possible Price
OETC believes that all districts should pay the same price for the same technology, regardless of negotiating power. OETC works with vendors to make this a reality for our members. This means OETC has become synonymous with quality educational technology and great prices
There are two ways that OETC adds product to our pricelist:
Request for Proposals
OETC does not accept solicitations from vendors to conduct an RFP. OETC will only conduct an RFP if a current and active member makes a request, or if OETC has identified a need to conduct an RFP for a class of products.
Responding to RFPs
OETC conducts RFPs on behalf of our members. This allows all of our members to utilize one RFP that aggregates all of their demand. This helps drive down the cost for all members, and helps vendors by alleviating the need for each member to conduct their own RFP. To learn more about our RFP process Go here.
For vendors who would like to respond to OETC’s RFPs, it is best to sign up for our RFP notification. Vendors can either be notified by RSS or email. To sign up visit our Stay in Touch page and select either RSS or Email for “Vendor News”
Direct Agreement
OETC does accept vendor solicitations for direct agreements.
Adding your product to OETC’s price list:
If you would like OETC to review your product for potential addition to our price list, please fill out the form below. OETC prioritizes vendor requests to add product if an OETC member is interested in purchasing the product, or if OETC members can provide a reference for the product’s successful use in education.
Due to the volume of requests we receive, we are unable to respond to every request.
