Jennifer Arns

Instructional Programs Director

Jennifer Arns has served as the Instructional Programs Director of OETC since 2001. She is involved in connecting and supporting many effective technology integration programs. Some of these include ITSC, Oregon Online Leaders, NCCE, and the Professional Development Cadre. Prior to joining OETC, she worked as a Curriculum Administrator and also as a Performance Assessment Consultant. Jennifer holds an administrative license and has earned her M.Ed. She enjoyed teaching fourth through sixth grade in her teaching career.

 
Kim Buchanan
Administrative Specialist

Kim began working at OETC as the Administrative Specialist in January 2004. Her background includes experience in both the private and non-profit sector, serving as executive assistant to organization leaders and as membership coordinator for non-profit associations. Her wonderful skills in both areas serve OETC well, as she handles memberships and supports activities across the organization. Kim earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Oregon State University. Kim enjoys working with OETC staff and members, and believes that what OETC does provides a wonderful service and greatly benefits the world of education.

 

Julie Chappelle
Communications Coordinator


Julie joined OETC in March 2004 as the Communications Coordinator. With more than 13 years of public relations and communications experience, Julie has lent her expertise to such organizations as Boeing, EDS, Coldwell Banker, and also spent time serving as an Air Force officer. Her skills in web site content, news articles, publications, public affairs, and writing are a great asset to the organization. She earned her B.A. in Communications from Washington State University and also earned a dual MBA/MPA while living in Seattle.

 

Dale Eckstein
Customer Care Specialist

As the Customer Care Specialist Dale is responsible for processing orders from OETC members. Dale has extensive customer service experience, as well as experience with inventory control and software duplication. Prior to coming to OETC, he worked for nearly eight years at Stream International. There he initially provided customer service, then moved on to help customers with technical assistance and IT support.

 
Raye Ganieany
Purchasing Representative

Raye joined OETC in February 2008 after working as a billing manager for May Trucking in Brooks, Oregon for more than 15 years. A Salem-area native, Raye spends much of her free time playing PlayStation and other activities with her two children.

 

Darren Hudgins
Instructional Programs Coordinator

Darren joined OETC in 2007 from Hillsboro School District, where he was an instructor, staff developer, and coach. He holds a master's degree in education along with dual bachelor's degrees in human development and social sciences. He is currently working on the Oregon VSD contract, Qwest and ODE grants, and our annual ITSC conference.

 
Elizabeth Kolsrud
Operations Clerk

Elizabeth joined OETC in July 2006 to work with the Operations team handling customer inquiries, billing, order entry and tracking, records inventory, as well as order processing. She earned her first bachelor's degree in Education and went on to get an AAS degree in Computer Information Systems at Portland Community College in 2003. Elizabeth's work background includes more than 20 years in customer service and management. She owned and operated a state licensed day care and preschool for more than 10 years before going into Retail Management. Elizabeth also worked for the IT department at PCC while attending school. Upon completion of her AAS in 2003, she went to work for Cingular first as a customer service representative, then as an inventory control manager and technical advisor.

 
Deborah Morris-White
Customer Care Representative

Deborah joined OETC in October 2007 as the Customer Care Representative. She assists the OETC Operations team in answering phones, helping members, and inputting orders. Her work experience includes more than ten years of customer service at call centers. Deborah is currently attending the University of Phoenix to complete her B.S. in Human Resources. A twenty-year Oregon resident, she and her husband love the outdoors and spend time camping around Oregon.

 

Derek Nutile
IT Coordinator

Derek came to OETC from the Portland office of Stoel Rives LLP in October of 2007. He brings 15 years of IT experience, including nine years of networking, messaging, and programming experience at Stoel Rives. Derek's technical history also includes supporting and implementing technology for Safeway Inc., and teaching computer classes for the Columbia Learning Center. As a proponent of open source software, he brings a set of principles and practices that promotes access to the design and production of technology for the educational community. Derek is happily married and the proud father of three boys.

 

Kristi Pippert
Operations Director

Kristi joined OETC in January 2000 and has worked in several different capacities for the organization. In July 2005 she was promoted to Operations Director and is responsible for supervising the day-to-day business of OETC processing orders and payments, tracking and reporting licenses, and verifying pricing discounts. Kristi attended San Francisco State University and studied military correspondence, military business administration, microcomputer technology, and office management. Before joining OETC, Kristi worked in other administrative capacities including family support liaison for the U.S. Army at the Presidio during Operation Desert Storm, and in Software Education Training/Technical Support at Micro Group Inc.

 

Jake Rosenbalm
IT Director

Jake Rosenbalm became OETC's first Information Technology (IT) Director in April 2004. As a key architect behind Oregon's Database Initiative (DBI) and help desk team lead, Jake brings a mix of technical skill, project management, and customer focus to OETC. Jake oversees the technical application and network services for OETC. He earned his B.S. in Business Management with emphasis in Information Systems from Brigham Young University. Jake also is a big sports nut and a volunteer firefighter in Rickreall.
