Free training focused on the new features of the SMART Notebook Math Tools Software. Held at OETC’s offices on August 31, 2010.

The Qwest Foundation has partnered with the Organization for Educational Technology and Curriculum (OETC) to award mini-grants to districts. This opportunity is through a Qwest Foundation for Education Grant to be awarded to Oregon K-12 educators who participate in their Regional Ed Tech Cadre and who demonstrate an innovative use of technology with students and or collaborate with a teacher(s) team.

This site visit focuses on a 21st century learning environments in the elementary and middle school with high technology access and use by students and teachers anytime, anywhere. You will hear from school leaders, have the opportunity to see these laptop learning initiatives in action, and interact with students, teachers and campus administrators. In addition, school officials and Apple personnel will share the story of the journey down the road to this 21st century learning environment.

SMART Tech is conducting a SMART Notebook Certification class at OETC’s offices on March 23-25. The training is conducted by SMART and costs $1,799. Interested participants may find out more information at and register here.
